ADVOCACY STARTS WITH YOU

You can support afterschool programs by reaching out to your locally elected representative and tell them afterschool works!

MAP makes it easy to reach out to your locally elected official through our new web interface. Just type in your information and the form will auto-generate an email, call, or social media post for you. You may be able to edit the message before sending it off to add your own special story about how afterschool impacts you or your community.

Afterschool and Out-of-School Quality Grant Time Line Item

This engagement focuses on our yearly push to increase the ASOST Quality Grant. The grant serves thousands of kids throughout Massachusetts and is the only dedicated statewide funding stream for afterschool and summer learning.

Social and Emotional Learning

This is a special advocacy campaign in partnership with the United Way of Mass Bay and Merrimack Valley and SEL4MA. Our goal is to elevate the discussion around the importance of social and emotional learning in young people and include language in the budget that provides more resources for training on the subject.
